Pratyāhāra (प्रत्याहार) is the fifth of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, described by the ancient sage Patanjali.
Often translated as "withdrawal of the senses," Pratyahara is the practice of allowing our attention to turn away from external sensory objects and toward the inner world.
